Bullet holes among damage found after break-in at Jumpers Brook business

JUMPERS BROOK, NL – Some criminals went through a lot of trouble to cause damage during a break and enter at a business near Jumpers Brook on June 27.

A police press release issued Wednesday said the private owner of the business reported someone broke into his business and did excessive damage to the property. 

Windows were broken, several holes were made in the walls, walls were spray painted, and someone fired two shots, possibly from a rifle, through one of the windows, the release noted.  

In addition, a fire was lit in one of the buildings, windows broken on a truck and an amount of copper wire was stolen.  

Police are seeking the assistance of the public in solving this crime.
