A few weeks ago, Samsung rolled out the stable Android 14 update for the Galaxy S23 series in Europe and some Asian countries. Now, the company has finally rolled out the stable Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update for the Galaxy S23 in the US. Currently, the update is available for carrier-locked models of those devices in the country.
The Galaxy S23 is finally getting the standard Android 14 update in the US
The stable Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra is available for carrier-locked units in the US. The update comes with the firmware version S91xUSQUBWK4 Also includes the November 2023 security patch. The download size of this update is around 3.3GB, so make sure to download on a Wi-Fi network to avoid giving up your cellular data. Currently, the update is live on T-Mobile’s network, and we expect other carriers to roll out the update soon.
If you have a Galaxy S23 series phone and you live in the US, you can check for the major new update now by unlocking it. systems Application, go to Software upgradeand tapping Download and install. The new firmware file can be downloaded from our firmware database and is available for the manual firmware flashing process.
A UI 6.0 features and design changes
One UI 6.0 is based on Android 14 and brings dozens of exciting new features and design changes. It introduces a brand new Quick Panel design, a slightly updated notification design, a new media player widget with waveform animations, and improved widgets. There are two new widgets: Custom Camera and Weather Intelligence. Most of the stock apps have also been updated. The Camera app has a simpler new design, while the Gallery app gets new image editing features and controls.
