Morgan Wallen's Nashville Bar Arrest Leaves Fans With Mixed Feelings: It's 'Very Sad'

Morgan Wallen's fans have mixed feelings about his recent arrest in Nashville, Tennessee.

Fox News Digital confirmed that Wallen was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct Sunday night.

Outkick Broadway took to the streets to find out how fans feel about Morgan, who allegedly threw a chair off the roof of the party hot spot Morgan Chief's Bar in Tennessee.

“He's a rockstar, he's trying to be a rockstar. Why not?” A man said. Another fan quipped that Wallen's actions were “not very smart.”

Another young man shared that “it feels good” to have “a real rockstar in country music.”

One referred to Wallen as “his guy” and added that “everyone does dumb things every now and then.”

One woman shared that she was “very disappointed” and believed the “situation is worse.”

“I'm a huge Morgan Wallen fan, and as big as it is, it's really sad,” the woman continued. “So, what's up?”

One noted that Wallen “could have killed someone” when he threw the chair off the six-story building. “I don't care if you're Morgan Wallen or whoever you are, you can hurt somebody. I think he's got good music, but, man?”

Outkick asked pedestrians on Broadway if they believed Wallen's actions would lead to his cancellation.

“I think the fans like him more to be honest,” one said. Another said: “No, I'm not all for it, I think all his fans are for it. It makes him more interesting, he's not a real PR machine.”

Another man noted that Wallen has a history of being “crazy as hell” but believes his music will “always make him famous”.

The incident Sunday night comes days after Wallen kicked off his One Night at a Time 2024 tour with a pair of shows in Indianapolis.

“Morgan Wallen was arrested Sunday at 10:53 p.m The city of Nashville For reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He is fully cooperating with authorities,” Wallen's attorney, Warrick Robinson, told Fox News Digital.

The singer was arrested at 12:36 a.m. and then released at 3:29 a.m. His bond was listed at $15,250.

Metro Nashville Police Department X previously shared Wallen's mugshot of the arrest on Twitter. In the photo, the singer can be seen with a wide smile.

Along with the mug, they shared, “Country artist Morgan Wallen, 30, was charged with 3 counts of reckless endangerment and 1 count for throwing a chair off the floor of Sun Night Chief's Bar early this morning on Broadway, near 2 MNPD officers. His bond: $15,250.”

Some Nashville police officers were standing in front of Chief's Bar on Broadway Sunday night when a chair fell from above and landed feet away from them, an arrest report said. According to WTVF. The Eric Church-backed bar opened its doors for the first time on Friday, April 5.

The arrest report also said police saw video of Wallen “throwing an object into the lungs,” according to WTVF.

Court documents show Wallen's first court appearance is set for the morning of May 3. That night, he is scheduled to perform a concert at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
