Charges laid in police operation

Three men have been charged with possession of the proceeds of crime and money laundering as a result of an investigation by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit, says a news release issued this afternoon.

They were charged following the seizure of  more than $335,000 during Operation Battalion in March 2014.

Kurt Churchill of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s, Leroy Thomas of St. Johns, and Tony Clowe of Conception Bay South were formally charged with the offences June 9th and will appear in court Monday.

    Good job combined special forces. I thought tony managed to slip through the cracks when he wasn't arrested initially. Keel up the good work on reducing drugs and violence in the province. Tony clowe. I'm sure his son is proud.
