I still think conventional television is the better 'push technology' when it comes to getting the message out. Unfortunately often dismissed in this social media age as an outdated form of communication, but everyone still has a TV at home. Granted though we are split between two signal providers in this area: Aliant and Eastlink so if this were to be covered on cable tv only, Council Meetings would be reaching those customers on the cable side which does not make up the entire viewership. I find with the web, twitter, facebook content, etc; you have to go looking for it to find what has been published. Many are overwhelmed by the variety of internet formats out there. The web is great but it's not a broadcast medium and someone still has to update it from time to time. Maybe that's why Grand Falls decided to go with TV approach instead. keep it simple and to the point.
