The case against a Conception Bay North woman accused of abusing her children over a five-yeasr period must wait to find out her fate.

A Conception Bay North resident is lead into provincial court in Harbour Grace on June 7 in this Compass file photo. The person will hear closing arugments for their case May 1.

On April 30, crown attorney Lisa Stead introduced amendments to a number of the 41 charges against the woman.

These amendments deal with the time frame and location of the offences.

Details of the case, including the identity of the accused, are protected by a publication ban.

With these amendments in place, the woman’s lawyer, Jeff Slade, requested extra time to discuss them with his client.

She was arrested earlier this year and faces numerous charges, including assault, forcible confinement and criminal negligence causing bodily harm. She pleaded not guilty to the charges, which are alleged to have occured between 2007-2012.

Closing statements are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on May 1 at provincial court in Harbour Grace.

Judge James Walsh will render his decision on May 14. That is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Yeah we should know her name why not? We don't care what her children's name's are we're not going to down grade her children in any way. We need to know who this local mad woman is!! I would'et want to do her. We should know we have the right to know. It would be gross if some guy knew about this wich in cbn and did'ent know what she look's like , and went to bed with her and woke up and found out it was the woman who abused her kid's in cbn!!! He would never be the same either! ick He'd be just as grossed out. I know I would, so we need to know! people might knock this wich up without knowing, and she shouldent have kid's!

Her name is on the court docket but not being release by the media to save the identity of her children I would assume. They still have to live in this town.
