Not only is Kaetlyn Osmond an Olympian but she’s also a silver medal winner at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

The 18-year-old finished among the top five female skaters in her short and long programs on the weekend to help Canada win silver in the new figure skating team event. Only 10 of the top nations in international figure skating competition were able to compete.

Kaetlyn, defending two-time Canadian women’s champion, along with Canadian/Worlds men’s figure skating champion Patrick Chan and ice dance World champions Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, pairs skaters Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford, Kirsten Moore-Towers and Dylan Moscovitch comprised the team including men’s skater Kevin Reynolds

Now Kaetlyn has 10 days to prepare for the singles’ competition as she vies for another possible podium finish next week. The ladies short and freestyle skating programs are scheduled Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 19 and 20.
