A report on Tuesday evening of animal cruelty in Burgeo is under investigation.

Cst. Roland LeVoie said following the complaint received at 7:36 p.m. he went out in the community and picked up a dog that was outside in the cold, but to him looked to be okay other than being a bit skinny.

He said police is going to have a veterinarian look at the dog to determine whether or not there is any malnutrition and will figure out from there whether or any charges would be laid.

Really, people like this should not be allowed to own a dog, if you can't bring them inside and feed them DON'T GET THEM, someone out there will take them in and make them a part of the family and feed them, love them, how would you feel being left outside in the cold 24/7 with nothing to eat, try it and see how it makes you feel, idiots is all I can say, this makes me so mad.

Time for you to stop judging people before you have the facts. You have no idea if that dog is out 24/7, or does not have enough to eat. The only thing you know for sure: the constable picked the dog up. Nothing else. In this day and age, there's no excuse for people to spout immature and judgemental statements. Grow up and find the fact before you get diarrhea of the mouth.
