Motorists are a little happier today as for the first time in several weeks petroleum prices dipped.
In its weekly price adjustment, the Public Utilities Board set maximum prices for all regulated petroleum products all a little lower today, including gasoline, which went down by 4.0 cents per litre.
Propane heating fuel saw the highest decrease at 5.2 cpl, while diesel motor fuel fell 3.5 cpl, furnace oil decreased 2.23 cpl, and users will pay 3.22 cpl less for stove oil.
These maximum prices reflect the change in the average benchmark price of the products over the seven-day period ending Tuesday.
The next scheduled price change is Jan. 16.
