The RNC has charged a 40-year-old woman — a patient at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook — with assault with a weapon on a female nurse at the hospital.

The nurse received a minor injury for which she was treated at the hospital.

The incident occurred about 11:30 p.m. Sunday

The accused is a resident of Corner Brook. She has been released from custody to appear in provincial court in January.
