Sections selects Springdale as best small town to visit in N.L.

Springdale now has the distinction of being the best small Canadian town to explore in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The folks at travel website recently searched every province for best places it says “offer a range of welcoming charm, unique festivals, historical significance, and rigorous activities.”

The selections were kept to populations under 6,000 people.”

“The creak of wood planks as you walk through the lush wetlands only adds to the atmosphere of bright flowers and darting wildlife. You’re in Springdale, Newfoundland and Labrador, and when you add in local attractions with the welcoming setting, you’ll wonder why you haven’t been here before,” Jennifer Cuellar wrote in the article.

The rest of the selections across Canada were Fernie, B.C.; Jasper, Alta.; Maple Creek, Sask.; Gimli, Man.; Tobermory, Ont.; Mahone Bay, N.S.; Victoria-by-the-Sea, P.E.I.; Hudson, Que.; and St. Andrews, N.B.
