Plans are in place to welcome Two-time Canadian women’s figure skating champion and Olympian Kaetlyn Osmond back home to Marystown this weekend.

Two-time Canadian women’s figure skating champion and Olympian Kaetlyn Osmond waved to crowds during a motorcade through Marystown last fall. Osmond will return to her hometown again this weekend. This time she will be bringing the silver medal she won during the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.
Kaetlyn last returned in September but this time will be bringing along some hardware – her silver medal from the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.
A rally has been organized to greet Kaetlyn upon her arrival in Newfoundland at St. John’s International Airport 11:20 a.m. tomorrow morning, Thursday.
Saturday, Kaetlyn will be treated to a welcome home parade in Marystown.
The procession starts at 11 a.m. at the Summer Games Building and will move along McGettigan Boulevard to the Peninsula Mall where a rally will begin at noon.
That evening, a special dinner in Kaetlyn’s honour will be held at St. Gabriel’s Hall.
For the first time in several years, Kaetlyn will take to the ice at Marystown Arena Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. for an Ice Show with the Ice Crystal Skating Club.
