The Grand Falls-Windsor Senior Cataracts are 12-2 to finish for the Christmas break of the 2013-2014 Newfoundland and Labrador Senior Hockey League season.
After a dominating win over the Gander Flyers on Friday night the Flyers came to fight for a win on Saturday night.
In the end it was a 7-4 win for the Cats, but a harder earned one.
Gander scores two goals in the first period by Donivan and White while he Cats remained scoreless. The Cats turn things around in the second by scoring three goals. Cam Fergus has a pair and Kyle McGurk has his first of the year. Peter Campbell scored the lone goal for the Flyers.
The third period was dominated by the Cats with four goals by Andre Gill, Mike Sibley and a pair of sweet goals from Andrew Pearcey.
The only goal from the Flyers in the period was from Peter Campbell.
Devin O’Brian takes the loss with 43 shots on goal, while A.J. Whiffen has another win as they break for Christmas.
Cam Fergus was the Grand Falls Windsor Cataracts player of the gamewho had 4 point on the night.
The next Cats games are in Clarenville against the Caribous on Jan. 4 and Jan. 5, 2014.
