The Springdale Curling Club members got together this past weekend for a charity spiel. With February being Heart month, and in the spirit of giving, the members decided instead of receiving prizes, to donate the profits to two local residents suffering from illnesses. A total of $500.00 was donated.

Thanks go to Suri’s for their donation of a “Pizza Surprise” and to Rideout’s Convenience for their donation of a bottle of wine. Thanks also to Susan Edison for her efforts in getting 11 teams and her help in taking care of the “Hor dourves,” and to Sadie Huxter for her help as well. Also to Wilson Jones and Dave Clarke for helping with the ice cleaning.
