The PC Spiel at the Springdale Curling Club over the Halloween weekend was almost a “splashing” success, but due to the perseverance of the curlers after suffering an hour delay and having to throw all their rocks in one direction on ice two, due to a plant shutdown for 14 hours, the curlers did manage to complete their 12 team bonspiel.

Winners of the turkey shoot were Philip Burton and Glenn Butt. Winner of the night at “Riverwood Inn” was Susan Huxter. Winning number for the large picture was 427433. Your prize can be claimed by dropping by the Curling Club.

Winners of the best costumes at the dance were: The “Tin Soldiers:” Cherri and Roy White and Charity and Richard Pickett, second place was the “Gargoyle:” Jeff Saunders, and third place went to “The Mad Hatter:” Steve Newman.

Many thanks to all who helped get the opening spiel off the ground. MHA Kevin Pollard, Ken Verge, Gary Boyd, Lynn Normore, Sadie Foster, the bar staff and ice crew. Also thanks to Bobby Hull for providing almost four hours of music and singing on Saturday afternoon, much appreciated, and of course all our curlers.

Winners of each division are pictured.
