Airport upgrades

Upgrades to the St. Anthony Airport continue.

The airfield lighting system restoration project was completed in 2013, which consisted of new LED edge lights and new Omni Directional Approach Lighting Systems. The total investment for this project was over $740,000.

After a winter stoppage, work on the St. Anthony Air Terminal Building resumed in May with activities focusing on the remaining structural components and enclosure of the building exterior. Exterior work on the project is scheduled to be completed in July 2014.

The interior work in the Air Terminal Building is ongoing, with an expanded first floor to accommodate a new screening area and passenger hold room and a renovated second floor office area.
