John William Flynn has pleaded not guilty to two sex charges involving a young boy.
Flynn, 47, entered the pleas when the charges were read out to him during his appearance in the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador in Corner Brook Monday.
He had been committed to stand trial on the charges of invitation to sexual touching and sexual assault after a preliminary inquiry in provincial court earlier this spring.
The charges are in relation to incidents involving a boy under the age of 16 that are alleged to have occurred between January and March 2012.
A pre-trial conference in the case was set for Sept. 12 and Flynn will be back in court Oct. 6 to set a trial date.
