RCMP Investigating Incidents

The RCMP in Baie Verte is investigating a couple of incidents in the Pacquet and Woodstock areas that have happened over the past number of weeks.

The first incident happened in late April, and involved an excavator in Pacquet.

Police said someone vandalized the door of the excavator while it was parked just off Main Street in that community.

The second incident was the theft of an ice auger from the fire hall in Woodstock.

RCMP said it received the complaint of the missing equipment on May 8. It appears someone broke into the fire hall in Woodstock and stole an red eight-inch Eskimo brand auger, which the fire department said was valued around $700.

Police said its investigating the matters, and are asking the public’s assistance.
