Vehicular traffic was already starting to line up for the Sir Robert Bond sailing on Thursday, Feb 13, 2013 in Corner Brook. However, due to the impending winter storm forecast to hit the province, CAI Nunatsiavut Marine has rescheduled the Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 departure of the Sir Robert Bond from Corner Brook to Blanc Sablon to Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014. Departure time is set for 7 a.m.

Due to the impending winter storm forecast to hit the province, CAI Nunatsiavut Marine has rescheduled the departure of the Sir Robert Bond from Corner Brook to Blanc Sablon on Friday to Saturday.

Departure time is set for 7 a.m.

Should weather conditions fail to improve throughout Friday, CAI Nunatsiavut will make another announcement in the afternoon regarding the Saturday departure.

All passengers who had confirmed bookings for Friday will be accommodated on Saturday.

The weather is also having an impact on Marine Atlantic’s schedule.

Crossings from Port aux Basques and North Sydney for 11:45 p.m. tonight have been cancelled.

Marine Atlantic is reporting that Friday’s 11:45 a.m. and 11:45 p.m. sailings may also be affected and is advising travellers to keep checking the travel advisory section of its website and to contact its toll-free number (800-341-7981) for up to date information.
