The RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Bay seized 8 ounces of marijuana and some morphine pills last night. A 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman have been charged in relation to the seizure

The RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Bay seized 8 ounces of marijuana, some morphine pills, and drug paraphernalia, from a residence on Markland Road in Happy Valley-Goose Bay last night.

A 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were found and arrested not far from the residence.

The woman is facing a charge for possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), while the male is facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking (marijuana) and possession of a controlled substance (morphine).

    Way to go RCMP. You got 8 ounces of a plant, a piece of glass, and what looks to be 7 or 8 painkillers off the streets... Big Win. Why doesn't the Government legalize and regulate Mari'J'uana already so we can stop arresting kids for selling a plant that makes you giggle. Or at least stop being hypocrites and make alcohol and tobacco illegal too, since they are far more dangerous and available in every corner store (though I would be in favor of the former).
