A 45-year-old-male has been sentenced to 15 months custody after police uncovered a marihuana grow-op in a Grand Falls-Windsor residence on Thursday.
Darrell Hoyles appeared in court Friday morning and pled guilty on charges of production of cannabis resin and cannabis for the purpose of trafficking, as well as failing to comply with an undertaking.
The grow operation was discovered after members of the Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP detachment, along with Police Dogs Services Central and the General Investigation Section executed a search warrant at a residence on Lind Avenue.
Police say they seized over 2.7 pounds of cannabis, a quantity of plants in the early stages of development, a quantity of paraphernalia related to production, electrical hardware from the operation, and just under $1,500 in Canadian currency.
