Military ordnance removed from Humber Road home

CORNER BROOK — The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has removed military ordnance from a city residence.

Officers with RNC Patrol Services, around 5:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon, received information from a concerned citizen regarding military ordnance which they came into possession of and wished to turn over to police.

The residence on Humber Road was secured by police as a safey precaution,  however according to a RNC press release Sunday afternoon, police don’t believe anyone is in immediate danger.

On Sunday, members of RNC Patrol Services, with the assistance of the Explosive Disposal Unit, were following set protocols to safely remove the military ordnance and dispose of the item in a secure location.
