A 30-year-old man is facing driving-related charges after being stopped by the RNC about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Rabbit Town area of St John’s.


The accused also owes $8,800 in outstanding fines.

Charges include operating a motor vehicle with no licence or insurance, and failing to transfer ownership of the vehicle. He was also charged with breaching a court order.

The man was detained for court and the vehicle was impounded.

 In another case at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, police conducted a traffic safety stop in the area of Pouch Cove.

A 22-year-old woman was charged with operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s licence and insurance, and failure to transfer ownership of the vehicle.

The vehicle was impounded.
