RCMP officers are investigating a two-vehicle head-on collision Wednesday night on the Trans-Canada Highway near St. Judes turnoff.
The crash, which occurred around 6:48 p.m., involved a west-bound transport truck and an east-bound minivan. The male driver of the minivan was ejected from his vehicle at the time of the crash and was taken to Western Memorial Hospital in Corner Brook by ambulance with non- life threatening injuries.
The driver of the transport truck suffered internal injuries and was transported to Western Memorial Hospital by ambulance with non- life threatening injuries.
The RCMP said the crash occurred in a 50 km/h speed zone. Light rain was falling at the time of the crash.
A preliminary investigation has indicated the driver of the east-bound vehicle crossed the centre line and struck the west-bound transport truck. Followup interviews and statements are being taken from witnesses as part of the investigation.
Police say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
