A man facing charges of assault with a weapon, assaults and making threats following an incident at a Gander bar Sept. 29 appeared in provincial court in Gander Tuesday

FIRST APPEARANCE – Patrick Wallace Bemister of Grand Falls-Windsor is escorted out of Gander Provincial Court by RCMP officers on Tuesday. Mr. Bemister is facing multiple counts of assault, uttering threats to cause death and failing to comply with a probation order. He is also charged with count of assault with a weapon.
Patrick Wallace Bemister, 26, faces numerous charges including assault with a weapon, three counts of assault, two counts of uttering threats to cause death, and three counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
The RCMP had issued a Canadian-wide warrant of arrest for Mr. Bemister on Oct. 4, and on Oct. 7 he turned himself into RCMP in Grand Falls-Windsor.
Bemister’s next scheduled court appearance is Oct. 11. He will remain in RCMP custody until his Oct. 11 appearance.
