It wasn't your typical Sunday morning in Hickman's Harbour today. It was moving day for a two-story house - the former home of Myra and the late Ralph King - was uprooted from the spot where it had sat for over 70 years and moved to a new location. The King property was purchased by a new owner last year, who intends to build a new home on the spot. Peter Simmons had originally intended to tear down the old house. However, someone else expressed interest in the building and arrangements were made to move it off the land and to a new location about two kilometers away. The Sunday morning move drew a crowd of local people to witness the unique event.
