The reputation of the Fogo Island Inn is impressive enough that it has found its way all the way to Oprah Winfrey. Or in the very least to her magazine.
It’s all a part of THE “WOW” LIST which is described on Oprah’s website as “some of the world's most awe-inspiring people, innovations and phenomena.”
And on that list is the Fogo Island Inn, the Zita Cobb creation supposedly meant to help turn the economy of Fogo Island around.
The description written for the magazine and website by Zoe Donaldson says the inn “sits high on a rocky promontory jutting off the far eastern coast of North America, in Newfoundland, Canada, 1.5 hours ahead of Eastern Time and a world away from civilization as we know it.”
Other things that made the list include the world’s smallest robot and a hot sauce created by Jon Bon Jovi’s former manager.
