Special to The Nor’wester
The Town of Springdale held its annual Winterfest this past weekend.
As usual there were a range of indoor and outdoor activities for people of all ages. Children enjoyed a variety show at the Curling Club with face painting and entertainment by Cookie and Freddie the clowns, a musical puppet show at the Springdale Public Library and a variety of snow activities. Something new and exciting was added to the agenda this year, much to the delight of everyone, especially the children. Horse-drawn sleigh rides and pony rides took place at the George Huxter Memorial RV Park on Saturday afternoon. It seemed to be the highlight of this year’s Winterfest.
