Springdale Public Library Storytime

The Springdale Public Library Storytime program celebrated Family Literacy Day by inviting their family members to join them for the afternoon. Nans, Pops, Moms Dads, and brothers were all there to enjoy and spend time with the children and at their local Library.

Librarian Judy read the well-known book “Love you Forever” by Robert Munch followed by everyone participating in the action song “Hoky Poky.” It was fun to see the children’s faces watching their family do the actions!

The Children proceeded with the help of their family member to cut out people from magazines and make them into stick puppets. One child made a puppet of Justin Bieber!

The highlight of the day was having a visit from the Reid Puppet family, who visit on occasion, which includes the mother Lila, father Martin, son Casey and the sister Susie who entertained the kids with the song “These are the people in my family.”

Everyone got to put on a tattoo of a picture of library books and was treated to an ice cream sandwich.

A great time was had by all.
