Well-known Newfoundland Author, Robert Parsons, was given a warm welcome at the Springdale Public Library on Wednesday, September 12th. During this time he read from several of his books along with reciting monologues, which the audience applauded. He focused the end of night on his latest book, The Newfoundland Dog, which tells of heart-warming stories about the Newfoundland Dog. The people in attendance enjoyed a lovely Newfoundland snack which consisted of smoked capelin, bottled rabbit and moose, homemade jams, and bread, and of course a cup of tea. The highlight of the night was a visit from Nicky, the Newfoundland Dog who lives with his owners at the Seaside Retreat in Coffee Cove. Mr. Parsons enjoyed his visit to the Springdale Public Library and hopes to return soon for another visit.
