Springdale RCMP say on Tuesday, July 31 they were called to the town of Robert's Arm at 6:00pm. Police responded when they were advised by local paramedics and witnesses that a 58-year-old man went swimming alone in Crescent Lake and was found soon afterwards, floating lifelessly in the water.

Police say the man's body was brought to shore when it was discovered in the water, but several attempts to resuscitate him failed. Police were called as part of protocol to open an investigation and an autopsy was ordered by the Medical Examiner to determine the exact cause of death.
