Two Local Children’s Groups partnered with the Springdale Public Library for Children’s Programs.

The Training Wheels Family Resource Center has partnered with the Springdale Public Library for a program for children ages birth to six years to ensure early reading for Children. Coordinator for Training Wheels, Annette Colbourne and Librarian Judy Hamilton prepared their first theme on Spring.

The program will be held every second Wednesday at 2pm. Call the Library or the or the Family resource center for more information.

The NewFunland Day Care also partnered with the Library for a weekly visit every Tuesday at 2:00pm for a story and song.

It was also another Successful Toddler’s day at the Springdale Public Library on Saturday.

The theme for the day was Apples and as the toddler’s from ages seven months to two years enjoyed a felt story about an apple tree, Librarian Judy then taught them an action song called “Way up high in the apple tree.”

They proceeded to do an apple craft which had a hole in it to put their tiny finger in to pretend it was a worm!

Apple Juice, Apple Sauce, and Apple cookies was served as a snack. Next Toddler’s day will be May 19th.
