A beautiful baby christening ceremony was held at the Beaumont United Church on Sunday, July 28. Maggie Gillingham and Jason Bennett brought their baby daughter, Alaina, to church to be baptized and be accepted into the Christian community.

Long Island Day

Another successful annual Long Island Day celebration has come and gone. The volunteer fire department is very grateful for the patronage of the large group of people who flocked to the grounds on Saturday, July 20 to play games, purchase tickets on the various fundraiser items and, of course, the big drawing card, the mounds of delicious foods served up on the grounds. Carolyn Heath won the great two-seater lawn chair, Randy Short won the beautiful quilt donated by the LI Quilt group, Norman Heath won the bicycle and Logan Short won the $50 on tickets for the children. The Fire Department sends thanks to all who helped make this year's Long Island Day a success.
